A truly nice visitation.......
I recieved a truly enjoyable visitation today. I spied him thru the blinds perched on my front porch. I got off one pic, and as I was trying to adjust the blinds for another, he saw me and decided to boogie. He hangs around for the squirrels who violate my bird feeder and pay the price, I think. I hope you enjoy him as much as I did. If anyone can identifify exactly what kind of Raptor he is, let me know.

Looks like a red-tailed or Harlan's hawk, but it's hard to tell from the back. Either way, it's beautiful and you were lucky to get such a good shot. According to my bird book, it's indiginous to your area...
Enjoying your blog, thanks for visiting mine :)
Wow! Great shot. I had the rare gift of seeing a hummingbird hatch and feed her two tiny offspring in a nest just outside my window. It was amazing. She comes back every year to do the same thing.
Cool bird. Hope it comes back for another go-round.
